TREADWAY INTERACTIVE™

Python Path™ — Privacy & plan terms

Your learning stays on your device.

Python Path™ is made by Treadway Interactive™. Your preferred name, lesson progress, code drafts, notes, bookmarks, review history, and simulated Desktop Lab files are saved locally. Your preferred name is optional, is used for greetings and lesson guidance, and can be changed or cleared in Review & accessibility. Python execution happens on your device. We do not upload your code, lesson answers or saved progress records for execution, analytics, or AI.

Purchases and verification

When billing is enabled, Google Play handles payments. The app sends purchase tokens, the app package name, a randomly generated installation identifier, and a request nonce to our verification service over HTTPS. The service checks Google Play receipts and returns signed access. It stores hashed receipt identifiers, content tier, verification times, entitlement expiry, and replacement/revocation status. Supabase hosts our verification service and receipt database. Purchase tokens are passed to Google Play to validate your purchase; our database retains only hashed receipt identifiers and the access status described above. The installation identifier and request nonce bind the returned access certificate to your app and are not stored in our receipt table. Supabase and network providers process request IP addresses and technical connection data to deliver and protect the service. We do not deliberately log purchase tokens, your code, or your lesson progress. Payment card details are handled by Google Play and are not sent to us.

Local storage and backups

You choose where exported learning backups are stored or shared. Backups include your learning data and code, but exclude purchase tokens and paid access certificates. They are not encrypted by this app. Uninstalling removes the app’s local data. Use the backup controls before uninstalling if you want to keep your progress.

Read-aloud and permissions

Read-aloud uses an installed offline text-to-speech voice. No microphone permission is required. The app uses internet for configured Google Play purchases and verification, and for optional ad/privacy features when you use them. Local Python execution and your saved lessons remain available without an ad connection. File import/export uses Android’s document picker. The app does not request contacts, precise device location, camera, microphone or general device-storage access for advertising. Advertising technology can still estimate general location from an IP address.

Your choices and contact

There is no app account, cloud sync, or AI service. You can delete local learning data through Android Settings → Apps → Python Path™ → Storage → Clear data; save a backup first if needed. For purchase-data questions or a deletion request, contact contact.treadwaydigital@gmail.com. We may ask for enough receipt information to verify ownership. Hashed receipt records are retained while needed for purchase support, replacement/revocation checks, and fraud prevention; deleting them does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Google and hosting providers have their own retention policies.

Optional ads and hint tokens

Optional rewarded ads are available only in builds where the feature is enabled and ad serving is approved. The following describes that optional feature. Eligible Free users can choose to watch a Google AdMob rewarded ad to earn five hint tokens. Each ad starts only after you choose the ad button. Watching ads is optional; paid plans do not show ads, and you can keep learning and earn tokens from questions without watching one. Closing an ad before earning its reward does not earn tokens.

Ad settings ask for an optional age range: under 13, 13–15, 16–17, or 18 or older. The choice is stored on your device; we do not ask for your exact birthday. Unknown, declined or under-13 age ranges disable ads, without preventing access to normal learning. For both 13–17 bands, the app requests Google's stronger child-protective ad treatment, which disables personalized ads, remarketing, third-party ad-vendor requests and Android advertising ID (AAID) transmission. It also applies Google's under-age-of-consent setting, so these users are not asked to give advertising consent through the consent form. These settings protect ad requests; they do not change access to lessons. Other regional and eligibility restrictions may apply.

When you use optional ad/privacy features, Google's technology processes information such as your IP address and general location derived from it, ad/app interactions, performance diagnostics and device identifiers. This supports advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Available identifiers and processing depend on age treatment, your choices, device settings and the app's configuration. We do not intentionally send your code, preferred name or learning progress to Google for advertising. Read how Google uses information from partner services and Google's Privacy Policy.

Where applicable, privacy choices are shown before ads are requested. Available choices can be reopened using “Ad privacy choices” on the Learn screen, including after upgrading to a paid plan. Android also provides advertising-identifier controls. Changes apply according to the relevant provider's controls and do not automatically erase information previously collected. Google manages its own retention and privacy-rights request processes.

Earned-reward records are stored locally after a successful save to add tokens once and retain them when the app is reopened. If saving fails, the app offers a retry; closing the app before any successful save can lose an unsaved reward. Learning backups include token history; use them only to restore your own learning data. Hint tokens have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred to another person, and are usable only within Python Path. Test ads, where shown, are labeled and generate no advertising revenue.

Learning and plans

Free includes Book 1 and three new Book 1 worksheets per day with retries. Plus includes Books 1–2 and unlimited grading for those books. Pro includes all three books and unlimited grading. Lifetime includes the same three-book content and unlimited grading with one payment. Desktop Lab simulates setup and commands; it does not install Python on your phone’s operating system. The embedded runner is bounded; full web servers, external packages, and desktop-specific projects still need desktop software.

Plus is $9.99 per month, Pro is $19.99 per month, and Lifetime is $49.99 once in USD. Google Play displays your local price, taxes, and purchase terms. Monthly plans renew until canceled in Google Play and need an online verification at least every seven days. Cancellation keeps access through the verified paid period. Lifetime has no scheduled offline expiry after verification, and covers these three books and their in-app practice, not future books or services. New purchases and restoring access require internet. A refund or revocation removes access at the next successful check. Buying Lifetime does not cancel an existing subscription; cancel it separately in Google Play to stop its renewal. Learning data remains saved when access changes.
